Mike and Alex, don't forget some of us have floor space available if you want to save a few $$$ and don't mind sleeping on an air mattress.

Speaking with Becky, at the Days Inn in Show Low, I find that there is only one reservation besides mine. ? Everyone holding out? : ) I've requested that they keep us all in one block of rooms so I can torment you all evenly. We will be in the 400 block of rooms.
Be aware there is a quilting show that weekend.

I've got a room at the Days inn for Friday and Saturday, so mine must be the only other reservations?

I've had no requests on the floor space I've offered up. It's available whenever, any night, to any buellers needing a "cheap" place to lay their bones for the night. I do have a queen size air mattress. Also, you know, with the temps we enjoy most times of the year, my patio is also probably a good place to spend the night.

Bart-
I appreciate the offer. There will be 40, oops I mean 4 of us. I will need to get together with a buddy of mine from Tempe to celbrate our 50th BD, that was why I was thinking of staying at the motel. I would just as soon not be riding my bike that night.

If you need a cheap limo service let me know. LOL : )

I'll take the floor, enough cold ones and I'll sleep anywhere.

Can't wait to come out.

Glenn,
I just finished making Thursday night reservations for the La Quinta Inn,

HOTEL
La Quinta Inn
Phoenix North
2510 W.Greenway Rd.
Phoenix, AZ 85023
(602)993-0800

Directions:
I-17: exit 211 Greenway Rd. Go east 1 blk. - then left.

I asked them if I could leave my truck/trailer there for the weekend, they weren't exactly the most helpful but it sounds like there is on street parking there that I can just leave it at. Bartimus, if you have a better idea for where to put the truck/trailer, I'm all ears.

Tom and I will likely hit it back to San Diego on Sunday night.

Al

Alex,
No problemo, you know there will be plenty of cold ones waiting for ya!

AL,
Murrae's brother has a shop here in Phoenix and said we can park "some" trailers there, his space is limited I think to about 3 trailers.
I'm still trying to get Arrowhead to kick in with any kind of contribution. I'll keep you posted.

I have 2 rooms in Show Low for Wed. 4/20 & Fri. 4/22 and 1 room @ LaQuinta N. for Thu. 4/21. I figured that if you 2 were going to stay with Bart, Darrell & I will stay at the motel.

I am going to chase down the trailer soon and start looking at how to load the bikes.

Brad-What ever happend to MIke? Is he still riding that X1?

AL, and anyone else needing trailer space.
Arrowhead HD/Buell will provide us with a LOCKED place to park trailers. They wil also be providing deals on oil changes and tires, info on that will come after I talk to their marketing folks next week.
Also, they will provide doughnuts and coffee Friday morning at 0815.
Should we forgo the breakfast and just meet there?

Throw me your thoughts....

In addition to trailer/vehicle parking, here is what Arrowhead is offering:

I would also like to extend his riders a 15%
discount in parts, accessories, and labor over their event as well as we need to come up with a oil change and tire special starting on the 20th
in case his riders need to get services done prior to their ride. We will also be running specials on Buells such as the XB9’s starting at $6999 and the XB12’s at $8099 plus fees.
They may have some Buell products as giveaways or obsolete items that will be offered as well.

Raffle, or door prize drawing? Maybe just semantics, when I hear "raffle", I think of fund raising, i.e., people buy tickets for chance to win prize, money goes towards some purpose like a charity or fund raising for an organization, etc. We'd certainly do something like that for a good cause.
Heck, we'd donate a door prize too, but I don't think it would be streetfigher kit sized. Not sure of the logistics of it all though.

Cool on the trailer lockup, Bartimus. One question: What time do ya think we'll make it back there on Sunday? I'd need to get it out of under lock prior to them closing, I assume. Looks like they close at 6PM. I'd hope we're back by then.

I'm all for just meeting at the dealer, let everyone get fed and gassed and everything prior to arriving there. I'll just be itching to start riding at that point, not meeting to eat. There will be plenty of time for that later in the day.

Location looks easy enough from the La Quinta to Arrowhead HD/Buell:

Start: La Quinta Inn, 2510 W Greenway Rd., Phoenix, AZ, 85023-4223 US

End: Arrowhead HD/Buell, 16130 N Arrowhead Fountains Ctr Dr
Peoria, AZ, 85382-4745 US

Distance: 8.54 miles
Total Estimated Time: 14 minutes

Directions Distance

1. Start out going WEST on W GREENWAY RD toward N 25TH AVE. 0.1 miles
2. Turn RIGHT onto N BLACK CANYON FWY/N BLACK CANYON HWY. 0.1 miles
3. Merge onto I-17 N toward FLAGSTAFF. 0.5 miles
4. Take EXIT 212 toward BELL RD. 0.1 miles
5. Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto N BLACK CANYON HWY. <0.1 miles
6. Turn LEFT onto W BELL RD. 6.8 miles
7. Turn LEFT onto N 83RD AVE. 0.2 miles
8. Turn RIGHT onto W PARADISE LN. <0.1 miles
9. Turn LEFT onto ARROWHEAD FOUNTAINS WAY. <0.1 miles
10. End at 16130 N Arrowhead Fountains Ctr Dr, Peoria, AZ 85382-4745 US

Al, when I talked to John at Force he just got the Streetfighter kits out and thats what he wants to raffle, you do not have to go that big or anything at all I was just asking to see if you were interested throwing something in.

AS of right now, IF my scheduled days don't change I will be having to meet you guys in Show Low, Friday night. That time will be one week after the end of my work training schedule so I will be on my official work schedule. That means I will be either working Sunday thru Thursday, Monday thru Friday, or Tuesday thru Saturday. I am hoping for the Sunday thru Thursday or Monday thru Friday schedule. My work shifts are late so it will be what ever time it takes me to haul rear tire to Show Low from Mesa at 10:30pm...Either way I WILL be involved at least ONE of the days if not more if possible. But this is a new job and a trip to Barcalona Spain has taken up my time for leave of absence.

to get to Arrowhead, just go west on Greenway to 83rd Ave, turn right (north) and to go to Stadium dr. turn left and Arrowhead will be in front of you.

Bart,
Greenway does not go through the wash, dead end at 79th. Go west on Greenway to 75th, turn right, turn left on Paradise Lane, drive straight into Arrowhead HD. Everyone can see the signs from Paradise LN or Stadium Dr.
I'll be headed up to Show Low Friday Appx 4-5 PM if anyone else wants to go up the Bee Line HWY.
We could put Vehicles & Trailers in my Cul-de-sac, with other stuff in the garage if needed. I'm at 43rd Ave and Beardsley. I'll be at Arrowhead to see you off as its on my way to work.

Brad-
Thanks for the heads up on the Ebay shock, I ordered one from American Sport Bike instead. Are you planning on working Tue. 4/19? I would like to get away before too late so we don't roll into Show Low at 2am. One of the guys at work just said that he wasn't going to come ( I wasn't really expecting him to anyway). We still have four.

Alex needs to come over sometime so we can go over the route. Of course since it's supposed to be 50 Sunday maybe I'll head over that way.
