HD has chosen a county that can only produce the "Enfield". |

Leisure Riding Begins Now. I'm actually embarrassed for Harley. |

If I wanted a leisure ride I'd stay in the EZ chair. I would'nt have to dress like a poser and it's a lot cheaper too. |

I can almost picture a dresser Harley loaded down with crates of chickens, or rugs, or with an old ringer-style washing machine strapped aboard. |

That Enfield's kinda sweet. Post modern cafe racer. Needs a more serious engine though. |

That disgusting photochop is a gaudy and terrible theft of the breathtaking Honda CB1100R concept. Oberdan Bezzi, whoever the hell he is, should be shot. Who the hell is he, anyway? I hear his name as if he's actually accomplished something. He's got skills with photochop.... congratu-fucxin-lations. Here's a thought: how bout you stop chopping up perfectly good motorcycles, and come up with something that doesn't look like a chinese pocketbike? As far as Harley chasing the Indian market... I can't say i'm surprised. With their sales still completely and deservedly in the shi++er, they have no choice but to claw limply at ANY sales they can get. |

Hmmmmm. For all of the trash talking about Harley "chasing" the Indian market, I guess nobody had a crystal ball to see this coming. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/business/148008965.h tml |

Old news. That was posted here a few days ago. |

Old news and unrelated to what Harley-Davidson is doing. I've obviously missed the "trash talk" but Harley-Davidson was attempting to SELL in the Indian market. They did so through some pretty weird (it's not patently illegal) means that involved hiring and ex-government diplomat and cutting a deal to swap Mangoes. Both parties to the transaction, Indian Commerce Minister Kamal Nath and Susan Schwab, had to do some funny dancing to explain. Neither are strangers to convoluted explanations. Buell, on the other hand, sold something it actually has, world class engineering expertise, to the world's largest motorcycle company that has an acute need. http://www.usatoday.com/money/world/2007-04-13-man goes-for-motorcycles_N.htm http://www.rediff.com/money/2007/apr/13bike.htm http://www.cyrilhuzeblog.com/2007/04/17/harley-ind ia-trade-bikes-for-mangoes/ Frankly . . .I'm much more interested in the "Hero considers buying Harley-Davidson" discussion. It'd only take about 2 weeks of their revenue to buy Harley-Davidson outright. |

I know the Buell-Hero partnership isn't new news, as I already posed a question to Court over a month ago. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/17/ 670000.html?1331435400 I was merely pointing out the irony of the previous comments, which appeared to be trash talk to me, and the fact that Buell has taken partnership in India. "HD has chosen a county that can only produce the "Enfield"." "I can almost picture a dresser Harley loaded down with crates of chickens, or rugs, or with an old ringer-style washing machine strapped aboard." Honda and Suzuki have had ties to India for quite a long time too, not just Enfield. And if Hero starts producing Buell motorcycles, is anyone picturing a 1125r (or whatever they name it) with a chicken crate? I'm not a fan of the HD management or the things they have done or should have done and didn't. Just pointing out the irony of this thread. |

Erik was most likely the reason Harley thought Hero wanted them. They really wanted Erik Wandell didnt see that one coming |

The fact has not gone unnoticed at Juneau that HERO could buy Harley-Davidson without even breaking a sweat. Won't happen (the neither need nor want it) but the irony of Erik Buell replacing Wandell as Chairman is not lost on me. By the way . . who DOES want it are a lot of HD employees who are growing increasingly discontented wondering who's driving the ship. |

That would be hilarious if it did happen Mr. Buell was put in charge! Too bad it won't. I've read Hero may be acquiring Ducati though, but that isn't new news either. Court, have you heard any additional on this, since you were with the man at Daytona? (Message edited by Ghettobirdpirate on April 29, 2012) |

I am sure there is a little part of Erik and everyone here that wants some FU revenge. |
