I finally got to take the new '02 Road Pig on an extended ride. It now has Progressive fork springs and sits up like it should. The cam chain shoes had to be changed, unfortunately. Anyhow, we rode about 300 miles on Saturday (in heavy rain) and I HATE the seat. It gets me right in the tailbone. I'd like to hear opinions about aftermarket seats for cruising. I think I might like to sit a little farther back on the bike if I could. I am about 6'3" and long in the trunk. I can probably snaffle a stock Electraglide seat but I don't know if that would be an improvement. I don't care about how it looks, I just want all-day comfort. Suggestions?

I was able to make an appointment at Corbin where they custom fit the seat for me at no extra charge. Basically they would spray on the foam, let it set up and then carve it as needed. Their seats are less cushy than stock but are actually more comfortable on a long haul.

Corbin is across the country from you but there's got to be another company closer to you.

I've got 88,000 miles on my '96 Pig, all of 'em on a Corbin. It's a great seat.

Unfortunately, in my experience, Corbin's customer service sucks.

I have a Mustang on my Dyna and have an done an Iron Butt without pain. I know others swear by Corbin, but I love my Mustang and wouldn't want anything else. Several of my friends have them on their bikes and not a one of them is unhappy with the seat. I also have a friend who put on a Sundowner (HD) seat on his RK. He likes it better than stock, but he seems to need a break before me and my buddies do on our Mustangs.

Hey Dyna, is your Mustang a solo seat or a double? Can you comment on the rider position compared to the stock seat? I've read that they push you a little farther forward than stock. I've been looking at the H-D "tallboy" seat but I'd like to hear from somebody who has used one.

I am not sure if the Mustang pushes you forward compared to stock or not. It is a bit taller than my stock Dyna seat was. Maybe about an inch. It does have a definite step in the back that prevents sliding back, but it has never been an issue for me. Mustang has several models. I bought the one piece two-up wide vintage. My only regret is that I didn't get the one with a backrest, as it can't be added later.

Good luck with your decision.
