I have to change the springs on the Road King because it was lowered in the front and I don't want that. I hope all I have to change are the springs. Has anybody tried the Progressive brand (or other) progressive springs? I use them on my Norton with good results. I weigh about 230. Also, I'm not sure if the handlebars are stock but they are way too close to me. I'm going to try to rotate them forward. Any bar recommendations for a guy who is 6'3"? And, I hate the seat. It feels too far forward. Right now, the thing is the most uncomfortable bike I own. Apparently, i have to spend more money. |

I put progressive springs my Sportster and loved them. Do you have any way of finding out how they lowered the front end? The stock springs likely do not have any spacers at the top, but the Progressives I got did (not lowering springs). I supposed it's possible you could just install spacers (essentially increasing the preload) at the top of the spring. If you do replace, the Progressives made a huge improvement on the front end of my Sportster. |

Progressive makes an excellent product. It is possible someone used a progressive kit to lower the front end. (Message edited by pammy on May 28, 2009) |
