The Capitol Drive Motor Plant (sportster and Buell Thunderstorm) will be made at the Menomonee Falls plant. Its about 5 miles north of the current plant and has been building engines for over 10 years already.

Wow. that is a big building. the research center I believe is behind that building.

so for homecomings, etc., we will need to ride another 5 miles north. I wonder if the motor plant is menomponee falls has newer machining? a way to phase out an out of date plant and employees to save money? How is the Kansas city plant doing?

Rex, The Product Development Center (pdc) is located behind the current Capitol Dr, Motor Plant. Its relatively new and will remain as is, minus 60 employees who over the next 18 months will be out of work. The Menomonee Falls plant is huge, about 3x the size of Capitol dr. Alot more current as far as tooling.

Isn't the Capitol Dr. plant considered to be in Brookfield? Lisbon being the dividing line between Brookfield and Menomonee Falls.
