By coincidence, a friend had a Le Pera Bare Bones leather seat with the Red Tattoo stitching on it that he wasn't using.

Said I could have it for a hun'ert. All of a sudden my faithful and sturdy Police seat was looking a bit, shall we say, dowdy.

"It's more important to look good, than feel good" observed my friend, so I went for it.

He was right!

To my surprise it was not as uncomfortable as everyone says they are. In fact it has just about the same amount of padding as the Buell Deluxe seat on my XB12SR.

I like it.

It looks good, but I don't have to sit on it. As long as it works for your butt, it does look better than the police seat.

I still have the Police seat, and I'm keeping it.

The bike handles better with it, as the rider is higher and better placed to control the bike.

On the other hand, finding the key switch under the Police seat was always difficult, no matter how many times I did it.

I love my Mustang touring seat. Very comfortable. Not nearly as nice looking as your Le Pera though. Of course, I can't see the seat when I'm riding, so the looks don't bother me.

I had a LePera on my Sportster and loved it. It was a "custom" styled seat (though MUCH more padding than yours). It went from a 2 hour bike to an 8 hour bike. And for less than a Corbin.
