me and a buddy are trying to figure out if we can make a run to Daytona. Due to scheduling, we wouldn't be able to leave Texas until Wednesday night, which would put us getting there Thurs morning, giving us thru sunday to drive back. We've never been before, so i'm trying to get some feedback on the best way to approach this. Would it be worth the trip for only the last 3 days? Do most people camp out, or is it worth even trying to find a room? Any help or advice from you guys would be greatly appreciated, and if we did make it down, it would be great to meet some faces... thanks, james | ||

For anyone interested, there are dirt track races on the way to Daytona: Mar4 shorttrack at Neese's SC(just south of Columbia SC) Mar5 1/2mile race at Savannah GA and Mar6 shorttrack at Jasper FLA. We will be there getting dirty and having a ball,ya'll come on down or up or over.......Later Charlie | ||

When's the demo day at Daytona for Buell and HD? | ||

Both the Buell and HD rides start Monday March 7th from the hours of 9:00am till 3:00pm at the speedway and both end on Sat. the 12th. In the past both have been first come first served no reservations so I "ASSUME" that they’ll be the same this year. For everyone else (I.E. Honda, BMW, Victory, etc. etc.) it’s “you snooze you loose” get there by the butt-crack of dawn (or in some cases earlier!) and sign up for a late afternoon ride or come back tomorrow. | ||

I'm heading down there this Friday for the weekend with the Firebolt. Schedule isn't cooperating with me so I'm just going early. Going to catch the Rodeo friday night and spend Sat and Sunday cruising around. If anyone is down there this weekend, let me know. We'll go for a  or some  | ||

For anyone going to Daytona a little early don't forget to stop by the Daytona International Speedway and support the numerous Buell racers participating in the various Formula USA/CCS races March 4th - 6th. Lots of nicely modified Buells will present in addition to some great racing talent. The FUSA Thunder Bike Race is Sunday afternoon the 6th. | ||
