Hey fella's,

I'm new to the board and I am thiking about selling my heavily modified Ducati monster 900 for a Buell, however I am having trouble deciding on which one to get.

Question One...
I recieved a email reply from Matt Purdy from Adrenalin-Moto when I asked about a way to reduce the RPM at highway speeds (100+ mph) and he responded,

"...the front pulley on the XB12 is the same as fitted to the older 'tube' frame Buells and Sportster models so you may be able to find a slightly different size front pulley."

Has anyone experimented with using a larger size front pulley??

Question Two...
From what I've read from you guys, I've decided to go to a D&D muffler with a F.A.S.T. intake kit. What type of ECM upgrade would I need?? I need something that is a bolt on replacement as we dont have an experienced engine tuners over here, or an ECM that I can program myself. I haven't tried it before, but with a little bit of instruction I am willing to give it a try.

Question Three...
Does anyone have a pic of their Black XB/R with Black double bubble windscreen?

Question Four...
Has anyone gone into dramatically reducing weight of their bike (inc. flywheels, clutch baskets)

Question Five...
Are D&D mufflers heaps lighter than Buell Race Cans?

Question Six...
Has anyone tried painting their plastics with XB12R Frame paint?

Thanks!!

Welcome!

1. I don't know if the belt would still fit if you change front pulley alone?

2. The race ecm should work fine with that set up.

3. I have the Double Bubble but on a red bike

4. Not that I know of, others might?

5. Not a bunch lighter, they are heavy duty so they will last.
The lightest pipe I have seen so far is the Jardine.

6. Not that I have seen but sounds like it would look cool!

I think the Force pipe would be lighter... I'm not certain though.

I wouldn't worry with changing the ECM at all.
I would go with the TFI given the mods you suggest.

Bud, I got the same thing. Oh well, here's a smaller version.
