I got the race kit for my CityX. Haven't installed it yet but I thought I would install the K&N filter and remove the snorkel while I was in there disconnecting the canister purge hose and plugging the port. I'm sure the K&N is fine but I'm not sure if having the snorkel out with the stock ECM is going to be a problem or not. Haven't had time to ride it and see but thought I would ask if I'll be OK.

Mine was OK that way. It's a 12 though.

Should not be a problem.

You will be fine with the K&N and taking out the snorkel..the stock ECM will learn at 3200 RPMs for some amount of time (I think I remember 20 minutes) what the new airflow is and how the Air-Fuel needs to be adjusted.

I got some rattle from mine if I pulled the snorkel completely, so I took the snorkel and just trimmed it down so it was only an inch long or so. It worked well.

Mine was fine until I pulled the snorkel and then it pinged. Went to a TFI after that.
