1.
Dave S sent me the following parts, and I have no clue where they go. Perhaps he, or someone else here, could tell me what they're used for?

c0068.02a8 - Nut, Rivet, 1/4-20
m0704.02a8 - Grommet, Bodywork, Special
m0703.02a8 - Well Nut, 10-32x.665

2.
Is there a framework to which I mount the headlights? I don't see a way to mount them on the front faring framework.

3.
The ignition unit must be different between the S & R. There's no way to fit my S in the alloted space. Dave???

4.
Does the actual lock (where you insert the key) for the rear trunk latch mount to the bodywork?

5.
Is there any type of manual I can purchase that would give me explosions of different areas of the bike???? A service manual perhaps???

PLEASE HELP!!

Dago, might want to get the service manual. If nobody can help you, that is! I could always take some more pics. As far as those parts, I have no clue!!! I think the grommet goes on the tail section. It goes in the screw holes where the tail is attached to the frame. My guess. I've never hear of a nut and rivet referred to as one thing, so I'm lost! If nobody gets to you by tomorrow, I'll pull out the manual, and try to find them. Are you doing a complete, or just the front?

Thanks 9er.

I am doing to full conversion. You're right. I do need a manual. Thanks for you help.

I'm about to go down to my local dealership to take a wad of pics and poke around a bit.

Dave, I need a manual!

The rivnuts are what the riders seat bolts to in the subframe.

I'm not sure what Glitch sent you, but I have sent you a copy of the Firebolt parts manual and the chassis section of the Firebolt service manual. I am looking to do the same thing.
Let me know how it comes out.

Gearhead could you send me the same info? I am looking to swap in a R front on my S.
Thanks
Charles

The project is coming along nicely. I've order the rest of the parts I need...hopefully. It seems that the guys here who have done the conversions either 1) made some existing part fit 2) made their own parts or 3) order some parts through other sources. My initial parts list based off of previous orders placed with DaveS was not complete.

DaveS is surely getting sick of me calling him every 5 minutes with another part order. <or maybe he's not>

This is an excellent exercise in my patients. Having to wait is killing me! I'll only be satisfied when the shipping/transport industry adopts same-second delivery and Buell corp decides it's okay to drop-ship.
