My goal has never been to be the cheapest.
My goal is to provide the best advise, service and support for Buell riders.
10% is my discount everyday for Badweb,BRAG or ATC members!
Riders that purchase their Buell(or HD) from me get 15% for one year and then it goes back to 10%

Stick to your guns. You ARE THE GOLD STANDARD for Buell dealers.

I ever catch you competing on price alone, I'll come to Appleton and bitch slap you!

: )

Is it just me or am I loosing my tact as the Buell diplomat?

Dave,

Do you have access to any aerial view pictures of the lightning saddlebags. I'm curious about what the velcro attachment looks like... does it go beneath the seat, or over it?

I also still want info from you on barend mirrors.

Thanks,
TEd

Thanks for the response Dave, and I understand. I am one of the co-founders of www.CruiserCustomizing.com and I sell a sheetload of accessories every day so I know how it feels when customers ask you to match someone else's prices. I usually run around my office kicking stuff and cursing the competitor but I usually give in, that's why I thought to ask you since I had no idea what your discount was. I guess I understand my customers a little more now, you know, the ones that are just looking for the best price. I guess I'm just used to buying accessories at dealer cost and hate paying retail for anything. Surdyke has pretty darn good customer service as well so far. Anyway, good luck, it's a dog eat dog world out there!

Be lucky he gives a discount and is allowed to by his Dealer.
I worked for a number of years at a Dealer that wouldn't give discounts period!
They even reduced the discounts Employees were getting for fear that they might be e-baying or buying for friends. (which never happened)
I for one salute Dave for giving a decent discount and not sacrificing on more % off to appease the counter pounders.

there was a semi-local dealer who offered P&A at 20% off list for a while -- long story short, they are no longer a Buell dealer -- Dave's still here

I am implying no casue and affect relationship with the first dealer I mentioned, but I like to develop a longer term relastionship with my vendors -- also, my time is worth a lot to me, and I simply refuse to turn buying P&A into a part time job (which is can easily become, searching to sve the last dime) --

btw, I go to Dave with my P&A biz -- great service, knowledgable service (never a wrong part shipped), and he acts like he likes me! that's gotta be worth sumpin!

For anyone who has seen both tank bags, is the map pouch easily readable on that new bag? Seems like it leans forward a long way.

Just curious, the price is nice, and I like the hard sides of it.

Anyone know what weight the new saddlebags are rated for? Also, could they be made to lock?

Why are the aluminum belt guards listed for '04 and later? Do you need to upgrade the belt to get them to fit?

When I was a technician for "The Good Guys" we would have to submit a sheet with every single part number we wanted to buy. That would get approved and put in your file. If you bought more than one same type of thing, they would question you, and deny it if they felt it was for someone else! I work in the environmental equipment business, and you think this is bad? Dealers of specialized $3,000-$30,000 equipment will sell things with less than 10% margins just to get the sale! They ruin the market for us honest dealers that have the service that goes with the sale. I get people every day asking technical questions, and you basically lead them to what equipment they need, then they go and buy it from the next guy for 5% less than your sales price! If everyone stuck to a descent "List" price, and only reduce minimal amounts, only the true honest technical knowledgeable people would survive! Keep it up Dave!
