Ok, I was filling up the tank today and overfilled it a bit. I noticed there was a steam of gas running down the left side of the frame. (Luckily, none touched the airbox cover.) I want to know where the overflow should go, because that just didn't seem right. Never happened before.

On a non-Cali bike, the vent line runs fron the top front of the tank, across the top, then transitions to plastic hardline and runs down the inside of the left frame and down between the swingarm and tire. It should overflow to the ground just below the oil dipstick.

Check your hose, sounds like it might be loose, or routed in-correctly

Guess mine's a little short.

It drains right on top of the exaust outlet

I have learned not to overfill the tank!!!!!!!
(it only took one time)

I had a problem with mine not being secured, so the overflow (and the hose) would end up on the swingarm. Pissed me off, since no one, dealer, factory or whatever would deal with it.. not the hose being loose, that was a zip tie, but the actual damage to the finish on my bike. Oh well..

later,
