Look on ebay, I know that there was one there last night. It was for an XBS, don't know if that would work on the R or not. Any body out there got an answer?

As a preventative measure... Don't point your bike west in the morning (unless it's moving) if you have a ZG Double Bubble.

Just to be fair, the Zero Gravity Sport Touring windshield does NOT suffer from this problem...

Don't curse the entire range.

the ZG shield has a certain shape that when the sun comes from a given point makes a magnifying glass effect and melts the instrument cluster as if it was with a soldering iron...... it doesn´t have to do with outside temperature realy...... with me it happened in a 10º C day in winter.... and it realy does happent with the sun from behind the bike...... unless i am looking in the wrong place i don´t find anything on e.bay.......

I think if you email them about the problem, they will send you a sun blocker that goes inside of the windscreen.

Tobandeira, mine has done the same thing. I just try and keep it covered when I'm not riding.

Well i guess they´ll send me a sun blocker but they won´t fix the dammage for sure... and the cluster costs $250 US or so..... and that one in ebay seems at least lightly scratched.....

According to Performance Bikes magazine, the double bubble windscreen supplied by Suzuki for their GSX-R 600's is frying clocks as well.
So it's not just Zero G. Unless they make the windscreens for Suzuki, of course.

The Double Bubble is the only model that has this problem in the Zero G line, and since the Zuki is using basically the same design...its no suprise.

All the guys that a have a double bubble windscreen on their bikes(her in Hawaii) have this problem. Every last one of them. The one day the sun hits it just right and it melts anything plastic.
