The twelve airbox has a dimple over the velocity stack. I guess that stirs the air up a little bit more than the 9x. I made one that does a great job, I had to do to modifications to the air "lid". I believe you can use the search tool with key words"air box mod", you should find some pictures of what every one is talking about.

You think its worth the trouble of finding one, or just drill out my 9 airbox, also have you seen these- http://www.inextinc.com/xb9r/prototype_velocitystack.htm exsepsive but looks like you would gain from it alot.

Riderx09...
Do not purchase anything from that site.
The owner has scammed and lied to many BadWeBers.

Yikes.... Don't send any money to Corey. It's a long story, but if you do a search for corey on this site you'll have all the info you need. Corey showed gains on a Dyno sure, but they came from a cold air intake. Not the V-Stack. Do a search for "V-Stack Challenge" as well.

As far as it being "worth the trouble" of finding one... Call Daves. He'll get you one for ~$30 or so (I could be way off, but that's what I remember). Everyone I've heard from that has used a 12 box on a 9 has loved it. It works so well Buell even did it on the '05 9's.

Riderx09- you will notice a big difference in the way your bike pulls. Mine wanted to run on one wheel till I got used to the difference in the power band. But remember that I didn't buy the 12 airbox, just made something similar. If I wasn't going back to school and didn't have a shed full of stuff waiting to get used, would have bought one from Daves. Give him a shot, you will be glad you did.

It's more humbling to me than an ego boost.
I am so lucky to have all of you as friends and customers.
