Have i been reading correctly when i read that people are putting XB12 airboxes on 9's, what is the differences between the two bikes airboxes? | ||

The twelve airbox has a dimple over the velocity stack. I guess that stirs the air up a little bit more than the 9x. I made one that does a great job, I had to do to modifications to the air "lid". I believe you can use the search tool with key words"air box mod", you should find some pictures of what every one is talking about. | ||

Yikes.... Don't send any money to Corey. It's a long story, but if you do a search for corey on this site you'll have all the info you need. Corey showed gains on a Dyno sure, but they came from a cold air intake. Not the V-Stack. Do a search for "V-Stack Challenge" as well. As far as it being "worth the trouble" of finding one... Call Daves. He'll get you one for ~$30 or so (I could be way off, but that's what I remember). Everyone I've heard from that has used a 12 box on a 9 has loved it. It works so well Buell even did it on the '05 9's. | ||

Riderx09- you will notice a big difference in the way your bike pulls. Mine wanted to run on one wheel till I got used to the difference in the power band. But remember that I didn't buy the 12 airbox, just made something similar. If I wasn't going back to school and didn't have a shed full of stuff waiting to get used, would have bought one from Daves.
