Thepup... are you sure about the voltage regulator? How many miles on the bike? How did you test it? Diagnosis on these things can be trickey.

I tested it per the manual instructions,regulator is getting the correct voltage from the stator,but is putting out less than 1 volt

I tested it per the manual instructions,regulator is getting the correct voltage from the stator,but is putting out less than 1 voltif you are measuring less than battery voltage then you are NOT testing the regulator per the manual. if you are measuring less than 12.6 volts, then you are not hooked up properly. check your connections, something does not sound right.}

spec is between 13 and 15 volts. if you were able to start the bike to test the regulator you would have 12.5 volts or better. if you dont have battery voltage at the regulator output then you have an open circuit. check 30 amp fuse, etc. best device to troubleshoot here is a test lamp. report back what you find. dean

Pup: Check all the connections under the sprocket cover. I had the same problem, and found out that the B+ wire there at the regulator connector was fried! It was about a $1.00 fix to repair the wire. Also be sure to check the ground at the frame under thseat as well.
Just some thoughts before you spedn the money on the regulator.
