I want to remove the black part around my head lights. I believe it was called a headlight bezel but i'm not sure. Anyone ever tackle this task? If so what is the best way to go about removing them.

Do they sell these headlight bezels in plastic? I have seen them in carbon fiber but i would rather keep em plastic.

Those are very brittle due to the heat from the lights. They are there to take the heat so the fairing doesn't. The fairing will melt without the bezels. You are unlikely to get them off without breaking them. They are mounted with two side tape. Try to heat them with a heat gun or hairdryer before pulling on them.

Sombody on here allready removed them. The Headlight lense acts like a magnifying glass, when parked in the sun it starts burnning tracks into your bodywork.

I removed them and broke them!! They are not cheap. Somewhere around 35 bucks each. I forget, I just dealt with it. Al at American Sportbike has some Carbon units, real nice, somewhere around 120 bucks or so. I just didn't think the carbon units would go with my bike theme. Not much into carbon for aesthetic purposes.

Thanks for the info guys. I plan on replacing them with painted ones. I am not going to leave bare body work, so I wont have to worry about it melting. I just wanted to know some methods for taking them off. Thanks

"I plan on replacing them with painted ones."
Tip use heat proof paint, try a sample with a magnifying glass, just pretend your 10 years old and frying ants.

Well he thought about it and figured they would just pop out or something. Then one cracked due to the unbelievable brittleness of them. So he just decided to take them off and when finished he figured the fairing looked the same.
