BadS1, Is it legal to mount a license plate under the seat like you did?

Everyone, thanks for your feedback!! I'm going to hack it off the damn cheese crater very soon.

Wow I like the look and will be cutting tonight!
Maybe I'll also order some smaller turn signals from Al. He has some nice ones for 15 or 16 bucks each. I would like to order the lic plate relocator but to much money for me right now. I guess if I mess up I'll have to fork it over anyway.

If you plan on painting your nicely sanded bare aluminum decapitated cheesegrater, be sure to use an etching primer first, before you put on the colour coat, otherwise your lovely new colour will not stick for long...

Screw the etching primer for a newbie. Use some concrete etcher mixed 50:50 with water. Get the thing REALLY wet with it. rinse REALLY good And dry it off *REALLY* good. Then shoot your first coat of filler primer.

The problem I have with etching primer, is the acids in that stuff can sometimes leak their way back up to the surface of the paint if not given proper drying, or ideal conditions. And concrete/driveway etcher is cheap, and easy : )
