Hey All

I Just got my xb9s last week, and just love it. Living below some of the greatest roads around is fantastic. Any others on this board that use the Santa Cruz Mountains as a stomping ground? I'm always looking for more folks to ride with.

To everyone-thanx for all the tech info. Luckily my bike started with some good stuff on it so now its to the cheese grater and other 'creative' issues. I'm just starting to think of where to go with the bike.

later
Ilan

Santacruzmtman..I'm up in Benicia. Would be nice to round up some other riders around here. American Sportbike Night is a good place to check out(In San Leandro), they have meetings every month(1st Monday I think). Also check out www.pashnit.com They have all the local roads, and a lot of roads in other parts of California.

Welcome!
I live on the other coast just south of the North Georgia Mountains. Some of the best roads in the South East. Mountain Twisties and Buells go together extra nice.
You've got great taste in bikes!

New xb9er- That American sport bike night sounds good. I'll have to check that out.

Man do I love this bike in the mountains. There are some serious twisties and its ice to be able to keep it in gear, clear the apex, and still have a fat part of the powerband to play with.

My other ride is a Mazaspeed Protege, and the power delivery difference is amaizing. And the MSP's power peaks just as low as the buell, but the bikes ability to rev is without comparison.
Must be the 1600 pound weight advantage.

With the constant rain, the car is seeing some extra action though.

SantaCruzmtman, Search Yahoo groups: "American Sportbike Night". If you can't find it, let me know, and I'll track down the link. Enjoy. I got my 9R last August, and I can't get enough!
