The previous owner of my XB9sx had a battery tender installed, but removed the connector when I bought it. I have installed them before on other bikes directly to the battery. I was curious if they connect directly to the battery terminals or is there another way? Is there a good way to run the wire so it can be charged with the seat on?

My '07 XB12S has it connected directly to the battery and is easy to access with the seat on.

Connected directly to the battery through the fuse.

Thanks for the connector location. Tpehak what do you mean “through the fuse”?

There should be an in-line fuse in the tender harness you are adding

I ran mine out the left side simply because it makes it easier to plug in the electric vest from Aerostitch.
Uses the same SAE plug.
