I have been away from Buell for about 9 years and am buying another XB9 next week. It's low miles and in good shape, but it's a 15 year old bike. I know some replacement parts are available from ST Paul Harley, eBay or 3rd party for some seals etc. Are there any specific parts that I should by and keep that will need to be replaced or have a high probability of failing? Has Harley committed to producing spare parts for some specific number of years? Thanks in advance for the advice!

I appreciate the list! I don't mind buying parts as something breaks/fails as long as they are readily available. I just want to be prepared in case they aren't some day.

Does just the front motor mount typically wear out or does the rear have issues as well? By front do you mean L 1501.02a8? I donít see that the front is available, is there somewhere to buy it?

I would keep on hand:
drive belt
front engine isolator

The bike is a paper weight without a belt and to a lesser extent the front isolator...

That said at the end of 12 years of Buell ownership. I accumulated the following spares: (some new* some used)
rear wheel
voltage regulator
drive belt*
clutch cable
2 mufflers
throttle body & injectors
front engine isolator*

I dont think Lance is at SPHD any more. I believe he left and Doug stepped in to replace him. However, I heard that Doug isnt there any longer either.

Thanks a lot for the help! Believe it or not, I was able to see that the front isolator in the bike that Iím buying was bad and the seller is going to fix it before I pick the bike up. I may buy another one just in case. Is Harley still making them?

I see belts pretty readily available online and on St Paulís website. I would assume that those arenít as hard to come by?

Should I get a new or used oem voltage regulator or does someone aftermarket make something?

Can anything be done to prevent the front isolator from getting bad?

I can't see anything that would help - it's subjected to high heat, vibration, UV and age. All are a bad mix for any part. There are some folks working on a DIY isolator that might gain some traction but time will tell.

Yes! I have a 4k in spare parts. I bought a parts catalog and started to buy a little bit of everything. If parts in the USA could be a problem, imagine for those who live in Brazil !!

It looks like they redesigned it. I wonder what their cost is? If no one can buy them anymore, how are people getting around!?

Wow! 300 bones for an isolator, from twin motorcycles. But at least they can be had.
I didn't like paying $180 in 2017, after being on back order for like 9 months...

There were 4 different NOS isolators on E-bay a week ago... not sure if they are still there. Didn't think much of kit, I have an extra already

Shoggin, The guy originally had 10 of them. I bought 2. One is now on the bike and the other I will keep as a spare. I think there are still 2 available!
