Can an XB12R firebolt be ordered with the cityx black rims? Seems easier than powder coating if it can be done.

No they can't.
Buell does not offer wheel options from the factory. Sorry.

I tried that when I bought my 12. I wanted the silver 900 wheels but it was a no-go. That's why I'm powdercoating mine Mirror Black after Christmas...Odie

Ah, but you can purchase them from your local Buell dealer (or not so local dealer, right Daves)?

Much, much cheaper to powdercoat them. Unless you want to have two sets of wheels then you could buy more plastic and have a few different bikes depending on your mood at the time....Odie

Thanks guys. Powder coating is indeed the way I'll go then. We have some great coaters out here.

Fireballsocal,
Got any powdercoaters you would recommend? I'm in So Cal too and will be looking to have some done soon.

Timbo, where are you? My coater is great, mostly because it's free. Give me an idea of where you are and I'll find out if there is a shop close by. I know alot of people that have stuff powder coated all over so cal so someone will know of a good shop.

I wanted to do this too, only with a 12S. I've been dreaming of an all black 12 and come to find out I would have to purchase the villain black wheels separately then go sell the gold wheels on eBay or something. hmm, customize, right. Grrrr. It's getting too hard to get clearance on the '...but I can just sell the old ones on eBay' to the wifey, damn these motorcycle addictions!

If you could get a non-Cali bike I'd work something out with you.

Thanks to Stone Mountain HD/BUELL I got the Stardust Silver wheels at delivery on my XB12S last spring.

Too bad the Villian Blacks were not out yet!
