My money is on Dave aging prematurely because he gets no rest, no weekends off, etc. Might have to switch to being a Maytag repair man so he gets some alone time with the wife.: D

Pup you might get better response from Dave over in the sponsor section under Appleton HD. He has a thread titled "The I need it Now Dave Thread." You can also use the clutch cable from an S1 and its a couple dollars cheaper then the specific one for the XBS as Bartimus and I found out in his case. He borrowed mine for a bit and its pretty much the same deal, same length and all that. His as a specific part came out to $21.95 and the XBS was $24.95 IIRC.

Pup, I emailed you but maybe you'll see it here first.
We have a slight problem.
I looked up the cable this morning and we had one.
In between then and the time you called, someone else called and bought the cable.

I am on my way to the shop now, we are closing for the night, and I will pull a cable off a brand new XB-S and ship it out overnight to you tomorrow.
This way you will still have it Friday as I promised. There won't be any additional charge for the overnight vs 2nd day that you authorized, I'll cover the difference.

I am sorry this happened with your first order but I'll do my best to make it right with you.

Thanks!
Dave

fullpower stocks one each clutch cable part number 38613-03. they cost 26 bucks, pretty easy part to have hanging on the wall, right next to your spare front brake pads, primary cover gasket, pair of fresh 10R12's,H7 headlight bulb, clutch and brake levers, and your new drive belt. kind of a minimum list of spares one ought to keep on hand.

Slippin' are ya Dave?
You didn't even have to say anything if it's gonna arrive on time.
Good on ya Dave!
I did a kind of experiment once when my cable broke.
Ordered one through our dealership.
Ordered one through Dave the same day.
They both arrived the same day.
Difference?
The on I ordered from Dave was on the front porch waiting for me.

Glitch,I was told 5 to 7 days at the dealer,Daves will be here quicker.I figure with Thanksgiving it would probably be extra time thru the dealer.Dave is to be commended for his honesty,he could have sent it and I would be none the wiser.

Hey Dave...FP gave me a wonderful question...what would be the deal for a "Consumables Pack" ? Say Clutch cable, pair of levers, pack of turnsignals, belt, set of pegs, set of replacement bars(firebolt style). 2 primary chain inspection cover gaskets, 2 clutch cover gaskets...you get the idea. Just a curious thing...
