Hi,

I got a XB12S this fall, put 1000 miles on it so far, and I love this bike, more and more (Even better that my previous Ducati Monster 900, which WAS my favorite so far...)

I see a lot of frame protection for the XB 12 Lightning,
But I was wondering, what are the best setup/combinaison to protect the entire bike (Frame, Engine, Fork, Swing arm,etc... in case of a slide

Oh, and I was looking for something not too ugly

Thanks

R.

Cales Daves at Appleton. Tell him you want the CF Frame Protectors, Buell Frame Pucks, and Dark Horse Moto Swingarm Sliders.

I've got 'em all on my Firebolt (no pictures of the whole thing, sorry) - all beautiful and excellent quality without being too expensive (that whole caboodle would run something like $300).

I'd say the Dark Horse Moto swing arm and fork sliders, along with the Buell frame pucks would be a good start

Thank You for your great support : This sounds great

I will start with the Dark Horse Moto swing arm and fork sliders, and the Buell frame pucks

Will this setup protect the Engine also ?

With the winter arriving, I have a few month to order and Install them

Your engine will never touch the ground except in odd circumstances. You're probably more interested in protecting the covers (cam and primary) from scratches in a slide.

...the Dark Horse stuff along with the frame pucks and foot pegs will actually do a reasonable job of keeping the covers off the ground. If you want more, you might want to look at the LSL (?) Frame Sliders. I personally don't think they're made well (judging by looks alone), but I know at least one person here has installed them.

Thanks for the pics, Dana. My bike is set up the same way, with the frame pucks on top of the CF protectors.
