Author Message   Rsohler Posted on Monday, November 15, 2004 - 06:33 pm:        Hi, I got a XB12S this fall, put 1000 miles on it so far, and I love this bike, more and more (Even better that my previous Ducati Monster 900, which WAS my favorite so far...) I see a lot of frame protection for the XB 12 Lightning, But I was wondering, what are the best setup/combinaison to protect the entire bike (Frame, Engine, Fork, Swing arm,etc... in case of a slide Oh, and I was looking for something not too ugly Thanks R.   Darthane Posted on Monday, November 15, 2004 - 06:39 pm:        Cales Daves at Appleton. Tell him you want the CF Frame Protectors, Buell Frame Pucks, and Dark Horse Moto Swingarm Sliders. You're probably more interested in protecting the covers (cam and primary) from scratches in a slide. ...the Dark Horse stuff along with the frame pucks and foot pegs will actually do a reasonable job of keeping the covers off the ground. If you want more, you might want to look at the LSL (?) Frame Sliders. I personally don't think they're made well (judging by looks alone), but I know at least one person here has installed them. Thanks for the pics, Dana. My bike is set up the same way, with the frame pucks on top of the CF protectors.
