I've just recieved some publicity shots from Jens @ Hillbilly-Motors. His new project XB the "Hell-Bender" was previewed at the Frighterama show in Germany last weekend. And recieved a postive responce and praise from all who attended the show inc some manufacturers, most though it was the best XB they had seen!

Spec includes: 1430cc tuned tubro-charged engine inc a "torque" pulley kit. 9" rear rim with a 240 section rear tyre. 9" shortened seat unit. In fact their are over 20 new products soon to be released + a project Super-X (City-X) and a reworked XBR Hillbilly style.......

Hey don't despair....... Jens has put a €27,000 price tag on the bike, so get writing them Dear Santa letters.....

Personally I can't wait to see the "Super-X" XBSX when that's finished.

And that "muffler" looks like its ovipositor.

The color-matched frame/swingarm makes a solid piece of metal look like plastic.

Are they running a "twist clutch" on that thing? I don't see a clutch lever or front brake lever.

lake- due to other missing features (tail light, plate mouinting?), I'd say we're looking at a work in progress -- nicely done, thus far, though

That's about the only thing I don't care much about.
Thin chicken strips? Look above, it's on the edge of the tire just sitting on the side stand. It looks cool, I just know how it would wouldn't handle in my favorite twisties. To each 'is own.

That is one ugly motorcycle. If it was black and the handle bars were different then maybe.

Is that some sort of Exile Cycle internal grip clutch mechanism thingy with the cable running in the bars? I like how clean they look.

Could be one of them twist grip clutches, didn't notice it at first. I'm reading in a magazine currently about a builder who used one on a project bike and is saying they're a bear to set up and he probably wouldn't use one again. Would be fun to play with one though to see first hand how the twist grip clutches work.

Clutch? Heck with that weight and power he only needs top gear, and a 3000 RPM stall speed torque converter!!!

The wider the tire, the thinner the chicken strips. As mentioned above, doesn't take much to get to the edges of a wide tire...

just to be the whyner,

i saw that bike in germany ( fighterrama )
imo the reartyre is to wide
( there where rub marks on the rim from the belt )
the frontbelt sprocket had to be offset to much,
with that kinda power on it, how long wil the live span be from the driveshaft bearing

the looks, whooo the F$#@! it look sleek
very nice headlight .
now for some hidden hydroclutch/brake line's minimal wiring
and a bid smaller rear rim
( stoo, jens, no pun intended )

Hi Bud,

the rearwheel is with its 9" and the 240 Tire the maximum you can fix in the (more or less) stock swingarm and it is the first of its kind worldwide. The marks on the rim are happen when we put the bike in the van because our aluminium ramp is 9" wide so the sides scratch the rim. We offer the widetire Kit in 8" and 9", the difference you see on Stoos pictures.

You are right that any offset on the frontpulley makes more wear. But on that bike the offset is much more less than its looks on the first view, so I dont see a problem. But I promise when we do the 330 or 360 Kit we will use an extra outer bearing in the front (-:

No discussion that the usability for sportriding will be less as wider the tire get over the 180, but not every XB Rider is riding the edge.

The Hellbender is a design study to promote our Reartirekits and the new Shorttrack Tailsection with our Speed Tailinsert with the new LED rearlight. Also after so many racingengagement this season my mind need a real customjob.

Jens
