Just want to confirm the genetics of a used ECM (to be sure I am downloading the right database from ecmspy). I am told it is from a 2004 XB1200. It cycles the power valve so must be an XB1200. Bar code with the following number: Y61522 3AA 04209.

Anyone?

If it cycles the power valve then probably it's a stock ecm.
And all 03/07 1200 ecm's have the same program.

Yep that is a DDFI 2 ECM. I don't have a list of what exact programming is on it, but it will be compatible with your Uly and you can do what you need with it.

Strange part number. Are you sure it's not Y0152.3A8??

The part number on the box means zip if it was messed with by a PO or even updated by Harley sometime in the past.

It isn't the fuel program on it that matters, it's the firmware version that needs to be the same.

ECMSpy will tell you what firmware version you have. Get whatever fuel program you wish that matches that firmware

As a suggestion, try ECMDroid.

Its free on the google play store. I wouldn't use it to build a fuel program from scratch, but it is very simple to swap existing programs and has safeties built in so the old rumor of 'bricking the ECM" won't happen.

Instead of a cable connected to the computer It uses a wireless (bluetooth) connection that very convenient for datalogging and such. I like mine from Buelltooth.com

Thanks guys. the number is a little smudged so it could be Y01523A8.

Problem arises because I downloaded the ecmspy database for a 2005-2006 XB12 and was having problems. ecmspy shows a different database for all 2004 ecm's so I was going to download that one, but just wanted to be sure that is the ecm i actually have. I never thought about it when downloading ecmspy because I assumed all ecm's from 2004 to 2007 were the same. but I guess the database may be different just for historical reasons.

At this point i just want to do a tps re-set because this ecm never ran well and now I have made it worse.
