will a 2004 UCM work in a 2006 Uly? I plan to tune with ecmspy anyway. Problems?

As long as that 04 ECM is from a XB12, then yes that ECM will work perfect, tune away.

Thanks Froggy. Just wondered why ecmspy has a different download for the 2004 and 2005-2007.

The firmwares are different, they changed them like a dozen times over the years and each firmware has its own configuration. For what you are planning on doing it won't matter.

Thanks again. Highjacking my own thread with a stupid question, but when tuning, how do you deal with the AFV that wants to return to the 14.7 air/fuel ratio? It would seem to just undo the fueling adjustments you make.
