They let you test ride them. I wish I had a dealer really close cause if there were I would be down there every day "test" riding them until I bought one of my own. Good luck and I hope you get one soon.

The V-Twin power output is a welcome change. Keep the revs up, and have at it!

I recently test rode a XB12s and I was VERY impressed. I have a 2003 Yamaha R1 (1000cc four cylinder typical of 'modern sportbikes'), with some minor bolt on mods. The Buell motor is TOTALLY different from your ZX6, or any other modern sportbike four cylinder. The power delivery is very different. The power is down low on the revs, but it is impressive while you are there. If you ride the XB expecting to rev it to the stratosphere to get power, you will be disappointed and you will tell all your buddies 'this thing doesn't have any power'. Now, if you ride the same bike a little differently than a 'typical' sportbike, and you use the down low power, you will tell your buddies 'Man, this thing really pulls!'. Same bike, just ridden differently. These bikes HANDLE! They will not win too many drag races against the modern fours, but if you want a drag bike, get a Hayabusa or something. You will SMOKE almost everything in the corners if you ride the XB properly. The XB12s is going to compliment my R1 in my garage. Just remember to use the engine the way it was meant to be used and you will love the bike, its handling, and the power delivery. Hope this helps any potential buyers. -Todd

Carlos:

Get ready to smile, you are going to have a GREAT TIME!

I live in New York City and have been riding Buell for about 20 years. The current bikes are the best ever and Edison is a wonderful dealership.

You can expect to hit the hills of Hunterdon County in the coming weeks with a perfectly reliable and really fun bike. Plan extra time at fuel stops for the folks who will be admiring your bike.

Tell the folks at Edison that Court said hello.

Ride safe, lean much, smile more,
Court Canfield

City X owner here. I can tell you that the City X was not my first choice. I wanted an XB12R but got the X instead due to insurance and price. I can tell you this. I LOVE THIS BIKE!!!! The power on it is down low like everyone says and around town. That's where you want it. Handles like a dream. Plus, the looks will get you attention.

"You can expect to hit the hills of Hunterdon County"

If you do, you will ride past my house on Stanton Mountain Road. I'm on the top of Round Valley Reservoir's south peak.

I have run into several guys who bought Buells from Edison at "Bike Night" held thursday nights at the Stewart's in Lebanon. They have an active BRAG chapter. Drop me an email and we'll get together.

Its a bit chilly today for riding - 24 at my house this morning.

I test rode a city cross recently and there is definitely a difference in gearing between it and my 12R. 1st gear was very low and I could start from a stop in second gear without any complaining from the engine. It felt like a dirt bike with the high seating position and low gearing. It would be the perfect around town bike.
