Hey all, back on a Buell (been gone a few years)
I just picked up an 06 Uly. The P.O. Has all sorts of scoops and blankets and such to isolate the heat, but told me he tuned the bike to run lean.
Well I'd rather it run right (and not as hot) without the scoops being needed.

I've got a laptop and ECM cable. Somewhere Ive got a disc with ECM spy on it from my Firebolt days.
Im seeing something about a buelltooth dongle, and ive seen mention of another program.

Whats the hip new way to tweak an ecm these days? xb12x with a race ecm, gutted exhaust and open filter. I don't really want/need a lot of abilities. Just to get it back to a stock race ECM would be fine even.

Thanks!

Buelltooth dongle from buelltooth.com, about $48.00. ECMdroid free app from the google store; works with your android phone; connects to the dongle via bluetooth, fairly easy to use, buy direct for access to various maps at no charge.

Assuming the Race ECM you have is the old Buell one (not from EBR/IDS) then you don't need to waste any money buying a Bluetooth dongle, just use your existing stuff.

Yikes, they run lean as it is from the factory, I'd hate to see what those pistons look like.

Froggy, EXACTLY!!!

I changed the plugs, they did NOT look like a lean running condition. So Im not as worried now. But I'd like to see the map and be sure that its not lean. Seems to me it runs on the warm end, but its been a while since ive been on a buell, and I do remember roasty nuts being common
Ill have to see if I can find my old ecm spy cd and get it loaded on the laptop
