wondering if anyone could help me by telling me what they do really at shop for the so called "xbsl" i know i have the seat and do not have the stock front wheel bearing. what else has been done to my bike??? lol i thought it was stock the whole time. is it possible to lower it more for the wife?? she is 5'2" thanx | ||

What color is the coil on the rear shock? If it's blue, then it is standard height, if it's yellow then it's the low height. When you say "front" wheel bearing do you also mean that the rest of the bearings were replaced as they were supposed to be. You can tell if they are the up-dated bearings if they have an orange sealing ring. The old ones were black. If they have not all been replaced, go to the dealer and have them change them according to the service bulletin. Craig Buell Cycle Center | ||

You could get her some platform riding boots!!! But really, I have a stock XB9SL, I am barely over 5'6", and I float on the balls of my feet comfortably. But I'm a strong lad and can muscle(push) the bike anywhere I need to. The "low" model has alot less suspension travel than the regular XB9S. I ride alot of bumpy roads and could use the extra travel, but it very rarely actually "bottoms out". On smoother roads and the highway it's smooth as glass!! It's not a curse, it's made for short folks like myself.(lower center of gravity, too!! WEEEEE) tank |
