It has been raining a lot around here and now it is starting to get cold. I am thinking about braving the cold to ride this weekend. I just have to say, I have never had a bike that I wanted to ride as much as the XB. Every weekend I am trying to find a way to get on the bike and go somewhere. Once you get the bike set up and learn its personality it is one of the most satisfying motorcycles to ride. You just can't really put it into words. I just am so pleased with this bike. It isn't perfect but no bike is. It just fits my riding style. | ||

Pretty chilly here in Phoenix, too. Only got up to around 83 today... What part of TN are you from? My wife & I married in & lived in Nashville for a few years while I was in grad school. Wish I'd had a bike then because there were some incredible roads! Of course, we also got hit by 2 blizzards in 3 years. Brrrr! I'm still trying to talk myself into riding to Knoxville next time we visit the in-laws. Would love to hit Cades Cove on the XB! | ||

At least someone else feels my pain.... I feel for ya, Al. I am in northern Indiana. This sucks. Rained all summer and now we're lucky to see 55. Doesn't stop me most of the time. I started my season with the salt still on the roads. Downtime is for customizing. The XB will be back in the dining room in no time. Rich  | ||

37 degrees when I left this morning. Did not get that cold until I was about 50 miles into my ride... Brrrr. | ||

I love the Fall riding season.  Little chilly in the morning, but afternoon is nice. I know what you mean about wanting to ride all the time. 18 months got me to 28,000 miles on my XB9S. | ||

Dang you sunny-staters ! I suppose you like to tease dogs and little kids to! While I could get a few rides in here'n there, it's not worth it for me to keep the 9S insured. I guess I can live vicariously thru your riding stories over the next 4months. | ||

thats weird it cost me more to insure my bike on a seasonal basis than to just keep it insured all year long. No i don't tease dogs i have three. | ||

ive been waiting for rotors for 10 days (7 business days) could u imagine rebuilding my wrecked xb and have to wait so long for ROTORS? day by day it gets colder and colder...oh better yet, you cant track it once it (the rotors) leave europe...that really sucks  | ||

In Florida it finally stopped raining just about every day. A big plus is no more hurricanes coming at us. So, now when everyone north of us is packing the bikes in for winter, we'll be riding them. Can't wait for the toy run this Dec. | ||

I live west of Nashville on the Tennessee river. There are some really good roads around here. Lots of tight, twisty, hilly roads. By the way the Cades Cove area in the Smokey Mountains is not a good place to ride. The last time I tried it was with my now wife about 8yrs. ago on a gsxr. For miles we were at a crawl having to clutch and foot dab the bike along. It was miserable. The road is one direction and one lane through there so once in you are stuck. There are just too many people that have never seen any wild life in their life and they stop at every sighting to take a picture. |
