OK I've got a race kit for my XB9S and ive liberated the snorkel.......... HA Great... time for a thrash.......no wait for it Ive got to reset the TPS.
Question ; Why do i, what does it do, Im sure i should know but i dont can you help.

On another topic im the twit that gave Corey James ( the )950 bucks for fresh air. Im still chasing him and going through the Attorney Generals office. If any one has any other information about him or his whereabouts please let me know.

If the dealer installed your racekit, they should have taken care of the tps reset.

If you installed it yourself, you need to go to a dealer and have it reset.

It calibrates your throttle valve position so the ECU knows what fully closed is. Its position is used to calculate fuel injection values and if the valve in the closed position is not registered by the ecu as such, your bike will run crappy.

Ingemar, I will be installing a pro series race pipe soon, without the race ECM (cant afford it yet)will I need to get the TPS reset also?

No, you do not need to have the tps reset.

A tps reset would be nessecary in case you switch ecm's or throttle body/valve, or the tps got somehow out of whack (backfires or wear).
