Yeah, we turned the bike upside down and it started. We figured it out, it is DONE, conversion complete. Just got it get it painted. |

Thanks, Tim. I appreciate all the HUGE photos. Gives me an idea of what I have to look forward to. I imagine I'll have to flip back to your page and use it as a reference once or twice.

Hey Tim, not sure if you have ridden it much, but as an FYI, your swing arm gets HOT from the oil, not sure how long those badges will stay in place once it heats up. |

The Lightningbolt SRX12 looks good,I think it should be a new model.Hand guards are great in the cool weather. |

Wycked, I have my Drummer badge on my swingarm.
Hasn't seem to go loose, yet.....
But, seeing that the glorious redneck designed it, I don't see it going anywhere.

If anyone is considering doing the tail swap and you would more pictures of up close details just let me know. In all we spent about 10 hours on this.
Mikel, as for the badges on the swing arm, so far so good. I have had them on there for about a month and actually drove to Port Huron about an hour each way NO melt down. |

Speaking of the swing arm and the oil, next time you have the back wheel out, pay attention to the inside of the swinger... Oils only in the front section... Sure some heat will still get to the rear of it, but it'll keep reasonable cool...
I am figuring it is designed this way to keep the extra unsprung weight as close to the fulcrum as possible, since unsprung weight is bad. |

Tim, I just had a chance to catch up on the thread... Been a little absent lately trying to get a business running.
Anyhow, I had to laugh heartily at the issue with your bike not starting... I did the same thing. I figured the problem was electronic, the only thing I had actually disconected was the lean sensor ( I didn't know it was a lean sensor at the time)...
So, being curious, I disconected it again, kind of as a reflex, to see if the bike would start without it.
PRESTO, the bike fires up, then the warning lamp comes on. Now i figure I have to find out what this poofter was, noticed it said "UP", wondered if I'd zippy tied it in upside down... Plugged it back in, set it the right way, started the bike, then out of curiosity, I tilted the sensor, bike stopped.
Whatdya know, it's a lean sensor. Bugger me. |

Trench, So I did it the hard way by turning the whole bike upside down huh? Just kidding. Yeah when I disconnected, I said this little thing cant be too important. It was a fun learning experience. We had BAD weather since I completed the conversion. Today is nice, so I finally get to ride it today |

I have one other guy asking me about the Old "s" rear parts? I have NO idea what's it all worth?
I know what I paid Dave S. for the "r"subframe and everything needed.
Odie, as for the color, for right now, (secret) I want to have the only one like it. I will say it wont be black, every other bike is black, I have 2 black cars, the bike is going to be unique. |

Odie, as soon as I get everything switched, I will get a hold of you if you still want the stuff, make me a reasonable offer and we'll talk.
Dave is still waiting on my sub-frame and a few other odds and ends.
You got first dibs on the "S" stuff if you want it. (unless you're in a big hurry for it, it may be a few weeks before I get it all done.)
