On my way to work this morning I started getting a clicking sound every time I depressed and let off the front brake.
I didn't have time to really go over the bike once I got to work.
Tried applying sideways pressure on wheel to see if the wheel bearing is going bad.
Didn't notice anything with the brake pads.
Any suggestions?

Try soap, water, and a toothbrush to the rotor mounting bolts. Brake dust can build up on them, causing the rotor to not be able to 'float' as it should.

How many miles on the bike?

The steering head bearings will make a click sound when the front brake is first applied.
Usually means the bearings need adjusting or replacing.

Replace steering head bearings @ 31k miles on my '06 Ulysses.

12k miles.
There is a click when I apply the brake and when I release it.
It just started this morning.

Check that your caliper bolts have not loosened.

Teeps is probably correct. Had to change mine out before 30000 miles. I would try to adjust them first.
Loosen your lower tree fork clamps.
You may have to move or remove the handlebars.
Loosen the clamp bolt on the adjusting cap nut.
Loosen the adjusting cap nut.
Retighten and torque to 40 ft./lbs.
Tighten the clamp bolt for the cap nut.
Retighten lower tree fork clamps.
Install or adjust the handlebars.

I noticed some clicking coming from the front end of my uly, and thought it was the head bearings so I didn't put it on the lift right away.
by the time I did, I only had one caliper bolt.

I put in a GR8 hex head bolt with a washer until I could get a replacement. local hardware store had 12.9 cap head bolts in black phosphate, so it got a coat of spray paint

Should you use grade 12 on brake bolts? Aren't they a little bit hard for the job? I would think you would want a little flex in the bolt before snapping, or is the higher tensile strength the end all be all?

Isn't 12.9 a metric grade? Maybe not so bad?

12.9 equals a grade 8 SAE. Consider you're screwing it into aluminum which will probably break before the bolt.
