Do a search for fullpower XB conversion- the thread is from 2004 I believe, but it is a good start. I know there are some newer threads- but Fullpower is a friend of mine and knows his stuff. Good place to start- he ended up changing from an idler wheel to a sprocket tensioner- but other than that- I'm planning on doing the conversion to my 08xb uly

Don't have experience with riding a chain converted xb ,but made a conversion for someone's 04 XB9s last year.

After looking all over the web for ratio's etc ,decided for a 20t front and 48t vortex rear sprocket set from someone on this forum.
Bought a new 520 x-ring chain and 17t steel tensioner wheel.
Made the adjustable chain tensioner and swing arm guard myself.

The last i heard was that everything worked perfectly (knock on wood)
