I have 2 questions that might sound real dumb. first how do i take off the plastic bar end that the handguards were attacted to. 2nd if i want to replace the upper belt guard do i have to take the swing arm off on that side. I dont want to screw something up.

1) Vice-grips or a flathead screwdriver, they just pop out, not screwed in or anything.

2)You take off the removeable section of swingarm above the belt, but unless your taking it off to replace with something else I would recomend leaving it to help keep debris bouncing off the underseat from falling onto the belt.

To add to Wyckeds information a little bit.

If you do remove that section of the swingarm for this, or any other project, make sure that the belt isn't under tension. You can tweak the swingarm if you don't.
