You need to either move the shock mount on the swingarm, or get a custom shock. The stock shock is too short, you will need an adapter or another shock. The 06-08 Lightning Long shock will maintain the same ride height as stock, the other ones (X, XT, STT, 2009+SS ) will raise the bike (or at least the rear) (Message edited by Froggy on March 30, 2016)   Nillaice Posted on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 - 03:30 pm:        the 'Wobble' mentioned might be in reference to changing the ride height of the rear suspension, thus changing the fork tail/rake angle and steering feeling   Ericz Posted on Thursday, March 31, 2016 - 12:59 pm:        While the 06-08 Lightning Long shock may maintain same ride height, the shock travel is too long for the stock frame w/long swingarm and the swingarm can bottom out/hit the frame...not good. Your only options are: 1. Cut/weld the swingarm shock mount to relocate it 2. Make adapter piece to lengthen the stock shock 3. Many racers swap the arm for better high speed stability.
