The low beam headlight on my XB9R went out on my way to work this afternoon. The security guard on Ft. Knox pointed this out as I went thru the gate. Any suggestions on where to start looking? Everything was working fine last night on my way home at 2 in the morning. BTW I still have high beams.

Sounds like you need a new bulb.

Check the "bent wire dohickie" that keeps the bulb tight in the housing. If it comes loose, it can cause the problem you're describing. It happened to me.

My low beam went out on me - electrical somewhere, not the bulb. High beam was ok, so I switched wires on the bulbs to get home.

Bomber - never found out where the problem was. They fixed under warranty (and get this, one day too). (As I didn't have to pay for it and it was a quick fix - I didn't have to care what it really was). Wasn't a loose connection where I could see though - I took the fairing off and checked everywhere "I" could.
