Im working with http://www.tightails.com/default.asp to get a new sub frame and fairing stay made for the Buell XB. Was wondering if anyone wanted to get in on a group buy to perhaps lessen the cost and get a few spares. | ||

I'm interested, what sort of NEW subrame and Fairing stay are we talking about? I'd be interested in a solo seat subframe for my XB and 1125. | ||

Mainly stock sub frame versions of the xb Firebolt, as well as Firebolt fairing stay brackets. Looks like a order of 10 would be needed for a order and discounted price I believe. | ||

Looks like most sheet stuff is 8602 AL and priced nicely. Post up when you get some more details. I know some guys over on Buellxb would like to get in on this as well. Posted up a link to this thread there. (Message edited by Rick_fears on December 03, 2015) | ||

Still working with the guy on the sub frame.. he really needs about 10 people interested in at least one part like the rear subframe before things would go further. Then get a group going for fairing stay brackets. I have a new stock sub frame i will send him to use as a mold/copy. | ||

More info: So it would be stock aluminum.. No color.. That would add cost for them to be black. More then likely we are looking at 366 msrp subframe.. 130 for the upper fairing. But first round we might be able to pull some cost out.. The closer to ten people the lower the price gets... For now I'm just an ambassador for it.. It's a process and the first ten will be compensated with a discount.. But will need to be patient for these to be made and shipped once it's confirmed. | ||

Yes you would be able to powder coat or for the racer guys just spray paint it any color. Help spread the word and maybe we all can make this happen! | ||

Do you need to buy both? I need a fairing stay so count me in for a fairing stay but if I need to purchase a subframe, it might be wise to have a spare. |
