Who has worn out a Z6 rear? How many miles did you get? How did you know when it was worn out?

I was down to cords on my 207 after 2600 miles. So far I have 4900 miles on the Z6. It's a great tire...The problem is I can't tell how much rubber I have left. There aren't any grooves that cross the middle of the tire & there doesn't seem to be any wear indicators

I plan to get another Z6 when this one is finished, I just don't want to be 300 miles from home and see cords.

What is a "Z6"? Metzeler?

Yes, it's Metzeler's ST tire - replaced the Z4. Does the Z6 have the same profile as a M1, by chance?

I probably had 3000 on mine when I traded the bike in, and it was showing no significant signs of wear at all.

It may have been starting to get a little less "sticky", but hard to say, as I had a crank seal leak all over it and never did feel like I got all that goo off it, and my isolators were starting to get soft, so a lot of moments that felt like the back getting loose probably had nothing to do with the tire.

I like the Pirelli Scorpiens on my new CityX. Might be interesting to throw a set on a tuber. Don't know the price or the wear yet, I'll do my part to wear a set out : )

I believe the Z6 has the same profile as the M1.

my first Z6 rear went 6400 miles. had a pretty good flat strip in middle, was not dangerous, but i had a new one in stock, so i changed both front and rear. nice improvement in handling, fresh tires always feel good. we have a lot of gravel/construction/debris in roads here, and it rains a lot, so i dont like to run my tires down too far. the Z6 lasts more than twice as long as the dunlop 207, and handles better.

How about pricing? Are Z6's significantly more expensive than M-1's?
Mike.

The Z6 is almost exactly the same price as the m1

I got a rear for $115 online.
