Aaron, I truly appreciate you addressing my issue directly. It's evident that you read all my posts, and therefore understand my position. So there's no need to re-hash anything within this post.

Your comments, along with others from my fellow boarders, get me excited about the big bore kit again. I just want to wait until my warranty has expired before I crack her open. ; )

Understanding that the tuber 1200's are similar enough to the XB 1200's that you can offer products for them while not having one in your physical possession helps me a great deal. Thank you all for enlightening me. I confess ignorance and appreciate your understanding.

I do hate to see that this thread took such a negative and emotional turn. To be honest, I don't understand where the bad blood is coming from, nor do I really care to. I enjoy everyone here and look forward to meeting some of you in the near future. But now, when/if I do, I'll have a good idea of who some are prior to shaking their hand.

Some here need to remember that this is a hobby for most of us. I, for one, do not claim to be an expert on bikes. I'm very new to the sport, but have a thick background in cars and the track. So I try to relate what I've learned in that world to this one. I've had more than one crook work on my babies. So please forgive my skepticism and ignorance.

Never once was I rude. Nor did I carry on in a defensive, sarcastic, or smart@ss way. Thanks to those who treated me in the same manner.

I look forward to the next hot topic!

dago

Dago,
If I came across as rude or offensive to you I apologize. I admit I felt you were attacking NRHS and I probably came across as an angry pit bull. I get overly defensive when I feel a friend is being attacked or unfairly criticized.

Rocket,
To you I give no apology. Your attitude lately just appears to be a bitter man who is angry at the world. I don't know why you have become this way but I do not want to be a part of your unhappiness.

Rocket, To you I give no apology.

Well you did good up to that point, that's not a nice respectful thing to post whether you feel that way or not, like Henrik said it's a two way street !!

This stuff won't stop if everyone doesn't take Henrik's advice:

Professionalism
Respect

Which if it's not obvious, I have a lot of respect for him even though I don't know him, because I've NEVER seen a post of his anywhere on this board that wasn't entertaining, intelligent, polite and NEVER a mean word ever to anyone !!

while I, too, enjoy the spirited discussions, passionate exchanges of opinions, and the more than generous sharing of facts that many have given while I've been a member of this community, I can also understand the frustration that many feel when posting a minority view.

Aaron's helped me a couple of times when I've asked questions (said questions specifically formed so as not to infringe on his livlihood -- the least I can do, IMO), and Pammy was similarly helpful when I met her at the Elves gig in Kenosha some time ago . . . . the knowledge shared by folks whose paycheck depends on selling that knowledge is staggering, and, in my experience, unprecedented -- for that, please let me offer my thanks, and the offer of any favor that my professional skills may be able to assist anyone with (lest it seem like I'm leaving anyone out, let me also thank the owners, past and present, or American Sport Bike, as well).

Not sure what beef Rocker may have with anyone else on the board, and frankly, don't care, as it's between him and the other person(s) . . .

that said, however, I have note a propensity for over-the-top reactions to minority views, or views that run counter to some of the more vocal members of the board -- these reactions seem to be occuring more often, with a greater level of vitriol, and are, I believe, making the situation worse, rather than better.

there are parts of this board that are getting more SACBORG-like every day, except without the humor -- though it's not my board, I am saddened to see this occur

CPR, indeed - thanks to our resident Great Dane for reminding us, all of us, of that fact

Its important to remember tho that even if an opinion is not shared by others it doesnt make it less valid. Not everyone has nor is required to share all opinions.

Not saying I agree nor diasgree with Rockets words, but its real easy to jump on the bandwagon & slam someone because they have a viewpoint that is not popular with the crowd.

In a small way I'm glad this came up.
I agree that minorities can be beaten upon on this board. One of the reasons I stay out of certian threads. SACBORG is the reason I stay here only, it was my unfortune to visit that site first when I was looking to buy my XB, sheesh, don't tell me BadWeB is going in that direction.

Where would I/we go?

I would like to chime in here and say that NRHS has never been anything but good to me. Every experience I've had with them from building customers bikes, building my brothers 88" S3, and most recently my 1050 XB, has been great. Every time I've called no matter who I get on the phone they've taken the time to answer my questions and help point me in the direction that I need to go. I trust NRHS and will be happy to do business with them in the future.

well I want to know customer feedback, good AND bad so I can make my own educated decision.
just like ebay feedback, a seller gets 97% good and just a few bad, I'm still going to buy. happens to the best of companies, there is always going to be ups. its all the 'cover up' , or whatever the hell you want to call it, that makes me even more undecided.
if I had a bad experience with a company but not 90% of the other customers would that make me an because I talked about it?
it seems to be that way here.

(just saying.. I dont know what the hell happend with rockette)

Just can't help myself, feel the need to add my 2 cents worth.

Henrik could not have said it better, but said in another way "pissing" contests produce nothing but strife. They add nothing to the world around us. Many of these are started by the impersonal world of the internet in which takes away the normal non-verbal communications that we usually have the benefit of.

In terms of the fine engine builders that frequent this site. I feel that CycleRama and NRHS
both offer outstanding work and integrety. I happened to chose NRHS not because they were better but because they were closer. I found Aaron to be quite helpful early in my project. For those that don't know me the Blast sidecar on the salt project. When the effort became more serious Aaron became obsessed in getting every little bit of power that he could out of my 0.5 liter bike. He after many man hours and trial and error on his part was able to get almost double the stock HP of the stocker. He along with Brian (the master of my head work)and the rest of the NRHS staff are greatly responsible for the two records that I obtained on the salt last year.

Pammy was also helpful with answers and suggestion from questions I posted here on the Badweb. My thanks also go out to her and her helpful attitude on this board. She is one lady that someday I hope to have the pleasure of meeting. And yes Pammy, much of that desire is the straight forward way you have of addressing issues.

As for Badwebbers in general I can think of only a couple that I would never desire to meet. Those that I have met are great people with a love and desire of all things motorcycle, and a respect and friendliness not found in many places. Yes this even includes Rocket whom I had the pleasure of meeting and found to be an interesting character (even found a problem on my bike that needed to be addressed).

In closing, this is a great community of fine, friendly knowledgable folks we have here. When we post here we need to review what we write thinking about our intent vs. what we say before hitting that post button. (Yes, I try to do this myself) So that we can all enjoy what we have here.

Count me out of the group hug.

Buelliedan, you're a prick.

There, that feels better.
