About how many miles is everyone getting on their M1s. Ive got about 3000 and they are already down to tread bars in the middle. They did get 1000 more than stocks did but that sill doesnt seem right.

yeah thats about right. the M1 is NOT intended as a touring tire. Try the Z6, those will go 7000 miles on a street ridden xb12.

My M1 was a 1944 model, and it looks like it probably took a lot of abuse either in Europe or the Pacific, so thats at least 4000 miles there. The stock was arsenal replaced, but other then that it is still working beautifully.

Oh wait... I think you mean something different. ; )

I got about 3500 or better, but I spent probably 500 or better on the edge of them. That sounds about right.

Well that does make me feel a little better. I think the trip i took out to laconia was part of why the centers or so worn right now. 1000 miles almost all straight up and down. As for the Z6's how do they handle as compared to the M1's. If they are resonably close i may concider going to them but i really love how glued the M1s feel and would probaly suck up having to put 2 tires a season on. By the way the front still has plenty of meat on it.

I have over 2000 on my Diablos & they still look great. That includes 1 track day & I will get another track day next week out of them.

stainless please dont take this wrong. if you are wearing out the middle of a supersport tire, you may well get more and better usage out of a sport-touring tire. it will certainly last longer. i used up the stock d207 in 2700 miles, the first metzeler Z6 went 6400 miles, and the second Z6 is doing real well, will easily make it till the snow flies around here. they feel real good on the road, hold on pretty well in the wet, and dont seem to mind running 70mph on gravel. YMMV

Dont worry fullpower no offence taken. Normaly i do try to stay more on back roads and have come to really like the grip of the M1s. The trip to laconia was not the norm. But thanx for the advice and i will definatly take it into concideration. Is there anyone out there that has ridden both the M1s and the Z6s that could give a comparision of feeling.

What sort of tire pressures are you guys running?

With the M1s I managed about 6k miles out of the rear on my Cyclone and about 5k miles out of the rear on my Firebolt. The OEM 207 lasted about 4k miles before it was on the wear bars.

Im running about the stock rec. pressure of 38. I burnt through the stcok tire in 2000 miles so the M1 actualy lasted 1000 + longer.

I've got a good M1 front with low miles/wear if anyone wants to make an offer.
