Quote:Centralizing the mass around the engine played a key role in the original design,
Where have I heard this before? Also notice how the engine is hanging from the frame which goes no lower than the riders knee. And is there a car muffler hanging below the bike? My god, it's just a cheap, no, EXPENSIVE knock off of an S1. I bet if he really tried hard a Buell owner could find almost as much CarbonFiber to put on his S1, and it would be a real Rocket! |

They just gotta have some kinda frame mounted fairing on front don't they? What about "naked" do they not understand? |

Just some thoughts on the"spy photos" of the new H2O Hog..... Uhhhh, its BUTT UGLY in my book. Looks like a honda. Or better yet, look where the swing arm and final drive cover are on the left side...It looks JUST like the Yamaha Warrior. Hmmm, I cant see this going over too well with the HD Faithfull. Then again , there are those out there that will buy anything with the HD name on it. It may be batter handling, have more power, on and on...But I still think its ugly. |

Huh, I wonder if anyone at Buell is pissed that the Honda prototype has a few features that you'll see on the new Buell? (hmmm, I wonder which features he's talking about?!?!?) |

Also, on the pics of the new H2O Hog. Seems to jibe with the rumours. Air box where "gas tank" should be. And gas tank under seat. Thats pretty clear in the photos. |

I agree. Still happy to see them make the leap to something new though. Too bad I'm boycoting HD due to their heavy handed trademark actions. |

Okay. That's better. Here's another of the Honda. But, I still say it looks like the Beast. Not that I have a problem with that. bighairyralph |

Yikes very industrial looking. That "Fork???" still scares me no matter how beefy they make it. Saw one fail on a Canondale MTB and it wasn't pretty. |

Highlights.... ...140mph water-cooled bike ... ...115bhp from a liquid-cooled 1130cc engine that Porsche Engineering helped develop... ...VRSCA family... ...7.77s 1/8th mile run at 95.87mph... ...You can feel the engine pulling hard up to 5000rpm and if you didn’t have a rev-counter you’d swear that was all it had. But investigate a little more and twist the throttle harder and it feels like the bike has a supercharger. The last 4000rpm kick in so hard you could be on a TL1000S. ...So, convinced you want one? Well maybe not when I tell you the price when it goes on sale in September is likely to be between £14,000 and £15,000. That's about $20k US! OUCH! |

That's what I'm afraid the new Buell will be, an awesome piece of machinery priced out of reach. My dealer said he was told it would be cheaper than the X1, but I don't see how that could be. It would also make my X1 worth even less than it already is. New harley sounds good though!! |
