I currently own a 1125r, bmw 1200gs, and i found a 2003 xb9r. It has 4.2k miles, and is bone stock for 2,500$, and all i want to know is that a good deal, and are there any issues to look for other than the obvious issues that come from a bike sitting.

for the miles that is a great price. If it had 20,000 miles, that would still be a decent price.
What to look for, have them start the bike and look for any leaks and rough idling. check the forks for any leaks and make sure you compress them and make sure they still operate properly. Keep in mind, just because it has low miles doesn't mean it sat for years on end. Here is PA, most of us can only ride four out of the twelve months.
It being all stock heightens the probability that it was never abused in the few miles it was ridden.
Be sure to post pictures when you buy. :-P

Yeah, decent price if it really runs well.

I know all the normal stuff, I just don't know if the xb9r's have any problems, or if the 2003 model is a good year, even though it was the first production year.

Sometimes the kickstand bolt breaks. Has yet to happen on my 03 9r but it did happen to me on my 04 12s. There was a recall on the headlight housing, they would get hot and burn. Once again, some are fine, some are not.

The only issue with mine were that the headlights sucked, and two fools before me owned it and wrecked the cylinders. Put a 1050cc kit on it and now it's damn fine, also upgraded the headlights.
