I want some of the clear orange Plasti-dip for my airbox!

Seriously, that looks really nice.

That was my first thought!

That does look pretty good. It's supposed to peel off when you are tired of it too? Anyone have any experience with how it holds up long term?

My neighbor used some of the black stuff on his F150 bumper a year or two ago, and it is holding up great.

Sifo, it does peel off easy when you want to change. Long term depends on prep, how many coats you do, and so on, just like normal paint, but regular paint will eventually win out in the long run.

Chris, that looks fantastic. Everything you touch turns to gold : )

Sifo, I put many coats on so it should easily peel off the plastics. I watched a lot of videos before pulling the trigger and everything should add up to an easy peel.

Hughlysses, I got all my stuff from dipyourcar.com. Check out their site and see if they have anything that sparks your interest. They also have a forum site.

Froggy, thank you. Yes, I agree, everything I touch does turn to good, but I usually have to invest Platinum into everything I do in order to get it to turn into gold haha. The power of the imagination is amazing.

If anyone wants to try the dip route. I bought the DYC paint gun set up and I would be happy to lend it to anyone who wants to use it.

The more coats the easier it peels off. I put two coats on my helmet a few years ago and it looks like shit now. Hopefully it holds up better on the plastic.

The stuff started out as a dip, similar to plier handles, now you can get it in a spray

I just dipped my silver car wheels. Black with silver metalizer. It's a pretty cool product. I hope it will last until I need new tires.

I bet it will. My neighbor has had it on a truck bumper for a couple years now and it is holding up really well. I think the fact that it is both thick and flexible makes it really chip resistant.

There's such a Plasti-Dip following that third party companies are popping up offering products that work with Plasti-Dip (like hardeners to make a smoother, more resilient finish). Their Pearlizer and Metallic options look cool, too.

I've been thinking about doing mine in pearlized white with matte blue wheels.

Did you do any special prep? Looks fantastic.

Dip Your Car has a solution called, "pre-dip spray" that is what I used.
