OK so I looked through several threads and I see alot of suggestions but they are all diffrent What are the best bearings should for my XB wheels and what are the part numbers? | ||

I'll assume this is a two bearing rear wheel. Rear: 6006 2RS. Front: 6005 2RS Any reputable manufacturer should be fine -- FAG, SKF, etc. You should be able to find it just about anywhere. Farm machinery places, NAPA, powersports places with a parts counter, Amazon, etc.: If you want it in a Buell baggie, the part numbers (from my 2008 parts book) are: Rear: E0005.02A8A Front: E0004.02A8A Before installing my last set of new bearings, I popped the seals off, and re-packed them with Bel-Ray waterproof grease. We'll see how that goes -- but the consensus is that keeping water out, and grease in those little bearings will make them last a lot longer. (Message edited by dtaylor on March 06, 2015) | ||

Dont need a baggie remarked saying buell or hd. I have geard talk of ceramic etc just wondering whats the best | ||

I would like to better understand ceramic bearings too. What are the benefits and drawbacks? | ||

Both my wheel bearing failures, one front, one rear, had rusty crap spit out of the failed bearing. Since I've taken advise from someone on BadWeb and started to pull the dust seals and pack in new grease when the wheels are off, I've had no problems. | ||

So with what kind of tool do you pull the dust seals without damage? | ||

A dental pick. You can get a cheap set at Harbor Freight for a few bucks. |
