Well, after spending time on the boards here and waiting for the numbers to fall in place, I am planning on purchasing an XB12R very soon! I want to have a good experience with it and I'd like to know what you Atlanta riders think about the area dealers! My first intent was to get a closeout 2004, but no one's sellin them at closeout. After a few phone calls, the closest I have found was a 2004 bike w/ 300 "gentle" miles on it for about $500 off MSRP. Yuck. I think I'll go ahead and wait for a Blue 05. Anyways, who's had good/bad luck w/ Stone Mtn., Earl Smalls, Fraziers, or HD of Atl.? BTW Torqer- when will you have a Blue 05 XB12R in? | ||

Stone Mountain is the only way to go!!! The sales staff (see Pete Anziano aka Torqer) is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the Buell machines. The service department has guys that actually enjoy working on these bikes and do a good job. The parts department is continuing to improve. And the owner has made a full commitment to do whatever is necessary to ensure the success of the Buell line. Best of all the it is the sponsor of the best bunch of Buelligans you will ever come across, the 3% BRAGging Rights Club! (see our thread in the Storm Fronts section of this site) We have a sportbike appreciation day coming up at the dealer on the 9th of October. Bikes, Beer and hopefully Babes! Pete..(Torqer)....is Da Man and the reason I bought my bike (and Buell for that matter) from Stone Mountain HD/Buell. The dealership with support you 100% and the service department knows there shiznit. Can't recommend enough! Our BRAG chapter (3% Bragging Rights Club)is Awesome. | ||

Atlanta HD does not seem to be very serious about Buells and got into them for the Blast model to use them for the MSF course. Earl Smalls was the first Buell dealer in town even before the S2 but has the worst service history of any dealer I have ever heard of.. Do not I repeat DO NOT let these people touch your Buell... Stone Mountain is the place I would spend MY money!!! | ||

Pete at Stone Mountain HD/Buell is the one to talk to about Buells. I spent hours talking to Pete about the XB Buells before buying an XB9SL from an individual. You won't be disappointed. I have heard good things about one of the salesmen at Frazier's, but I can't remember his name. | ||

I bought my 1st bike from Torquer at SMHD. I would have bought my new bike from him but SMHD didn't have what I was looking for at the time. The service department has guys that actually enjoy working on these bikes and do a good job Stated for Truth- Stone Mtn has a great service dept. and they are actually starting to carry quite a few Buell products in parts and motor clothes. Thanks Glitch and Shred for being the squeaky wheel that got greased. They have a Awesome Buell mechanic Tom E. He totally digs Buells and he knows his $hit. He is the only one I will let touch my bike. One of the guys at the dealership I bought my new XB9R at cracked the triple clamp just tightening down the bolt- Doh. No one will be touching my new bike but Tom after my 30 day dealer warranty expires. | ||

S2Pengy and others, what bad things have you heard about Earl Smalls? I bought my bike there and take it there for regularly scheduled maintenance. I have not had any negative experiences. If there is a legitimate reason for me to not take my bike there, I want to hear it. But Stone Mountain HD is a long way from me and getting my bike there and picking it up would be a huge pain in the butt. One that I am willing to make if it is necessary. | ||

MacBuell, from what I've heard of Earl Small's is that if it's a simple part you need or regular service they're OK. But, if something gets complicated or drawn out, well, things start going down hill. As far as I'm concerned SMHD/Buell is the only place to do business with as far as Buell is concerned. They not only support us hooligans, but they stand behind their work, and service. Example, when my stator went out, the part was back ordered for like three weeks or so. They pulled one out of a new XB12, just to get me back on the road. All this under warranty, so you know they made no money on the deal. I will not use this form to get into all the details but everytime they touched my bike they broke things... One time ground wire on the dash, then they let the tail wiring contact the rear tire after a tail fairing replacement so that I had no brake light by the time I got home, installed new isolators and didn't install the pins in the holes properly tearing one of the isolators, mounting tires backwards, I could go on but I think you get the idea...They never seemed to care about me my bike or my safety and they were 62 miles one way from my house... | ||

I wish it wasn't so hard to find a good Buell dealer. Just be glad you found one, there are some on this board that are still looking for one in their own state. |
