Is the "protective plate" [sic] stamped steel?
Is it deburred or is the "protective plate" installed with the rounded side toward the wires?

I got a couple of 08 stator swap pics. We swapped from a single phase stator to a 3 phase stator and the CE605SB regulator from roadstercycle.com. 3 phase stator came from there as well. All 08-10 systems really should be reverting back to the 3 phase system that the 03-07 had.

Mounted regulator under the seat. If I were to remount it I would mount it to the license plate bracket once a tail chop is done. Piece of aluminum to mount regulator to then bolt to need license plate bracket.

it is a flat piece off steel
that is why i put some silicone on it to seat the wires

Agreed it's a flat piece of metal.

Just wondering if anyone has noticed a rough edge on one side of the plate.

04colly,
I see just 2 wires coming off the stator.
Should be 3.

There is 3 now. Before there were only 2 because it was a single phase stator. It is now a 3 phase stator.

It can be confusing, when stating one thing, then posting photos (with no explanation) showing something different.

I am intrigued with your V-reg mount.
I hope it lives well there...
I've thought on several occasions of relocating the ECM to that area. But, to do it right would, probably, require building a new harness.
Does the fender make contact with the regulator?

No different than having it mounted behind the front tire. He needs to swap out the scg spring for a heavier one.
