A few days ago I went for a ~150 mile ride round trip. At 80 miles in I stopped in to visit friends. When attempting to leave the bike wouldn't crank. I jumped it and rode straight home to find I'm putting out 11.3 volts at 3k. Checked the service manual and conducted the bleed test which according to manual determined I needed a new voltage regulator. Regulator came in yesterday with updated 77 connector (what a pain). Got it installed, wired up and still no charging. At the 77 connector from the VR I'm getting lots of juice (16+ volts) but brand new fully charged battery is just slowly discharging as it runs. Bleed test with BRAND NEW regulator indicates regulator needs replaced. I'm pulling my hair out!!!

Have you tested the alternator? It's easy to check. It sounds like you have the factory manual?
