Dealers stocking parts seems to be a lingering problem for Buell. I could not buy a low beam bulb from my local dealer and the XB has been grounded for a week waiting for a clutch cable. Seems like my local dealer should carry consumable parts, and barring that I should be able to call a few dealers off of the good dealer list and have one sent to me without ordering. While talking to another Bueller about this he pointed out that he could get most parts for his 40+ year old Vincent in 2-3 days. Just had to vent. |

you should be able to buy H3 bulbs at any auto parts store, and even most grocery stores. the clutch cable is only 26 bucks, and is a normal spare that should be hanging on your garage wall, right next to the drive belt, front brake pads, clutch lever, primary cover gasket, and the fresh rear tire. |

Fullpower, I don't have the money to have that stuff hanging on my garage wall (have a set of tires, an H3 bulb, and fluids, that's all). Besides, if I did, it wouldn't do me any good to have it all in my garage when I am out riding. Roc, I have found that it pays to find alternate, NON-dealership, sources for as much stuff as possible, especially consumable materials. It will save you the kind of frustration you are feeling, and also save you some cash in most cases. WalMart has H3 bulbs. Mike. |

I had to go a block away from Chosa's to buy a light bulb because they said they did not have one. I put in at their parking lot in 110 degree heat. NO EXCUSES! Chosa's SUCKS! |

I wonder if someone has compiled a list of alternative parts for the Buells. I/E bulbs, filters, etc... |

I know the bulb is common. The point is they should carry everything to put a guy back on the road - at least the consumable parts. Fullpower - I have stocked my own parts for my tube frame Buells. I think resorting to that is a black eye for Buell. |

Neither do the Japanese cycle dealers anymore. The difference is that they have wherehouses which they can get the parts from in a couple of days. Buell needs to take note of this in my opinion. xbolt12 |
