Well im a new member having only recently found badweb. Wish id found it sooner.
I live in the Cotswolds in England and Buells are a little scarce ( mines an XB9S )round here.
To be honest thats a good thing, i scare the life out of the local Jap stuff.
Right its like this, i actually believed in the stuff on Coreys website, i know, i know this was a seriously rash thing to do..........its gets worse, i ordered $950 worth of SVVS,Air filter and ECM.........yep you guessed it, ive been stiffed, 5 months has gone by and he has vanished and does not answer any of my emails, to his 6 email addresses. Ive emailed his friends and then found your site and it all clicked into place. Bollox... they are all him.
Ok so now i feel like a complete tit.

So here is the question, i have had very little to do with the States and do not know the Laws etc.
Is there a method of stopping these sort of rogue people trading?
How is it possible to get money owed returned?
How much are hit men over there? (bearing in mind ive lost all my money..... i suppose i could scrape $30 and a couple of used pistons from a Norton, and there's a bit of life left in my cat)

Very pissed off MORTS

Morts,

I am very sorry to hear of your plight. While I have read many a post here about Mr. James, I do not (thankfully) have any direct experience.

I would start with the State Attorney Generals office for the state in which is business is listed. My experience with these kind of things is that they are taken seriously and actions may be taken against his business. You can file with the Better Business Bureau, and you may even want to contact the United States Postal Service if US Mail was involved in anything of a fraudulent nature (although I am not passing any judgement on this).

Also you might consider contacting any business that is selling his products.

Also you might want to make these same intentions clear to him which may expedite a refund.

Lastly, there is small claims court, but you need to locate him to serve a summons and you would probably have to appear in court although you may be able to so by mail or proxy.

I wish you success and by all means keep us posted.

Excellent advice Xbolt12. It's unfortunate this sort of thing happens to us hard working people who just want a snappier BUELL. Best of luck Morts. Their website has a few phone numbers listed, but this might get expensive from overseas. Give 'em hell.

I hope you bought you stuff with a credit card, if so contact them tell them what happened, you should only owe about $50 US, then let them take care of it, they are not fond of fraud, and work hard to get there money back
Hope this helps

Keep in mind that that the BBB won't touch a complaint if any legal action has already been initiated. On the other hand, the BBB has no legal authority - if a business owner doesn't give a rats arse about future business, the BBB coming after them is probably not going to be of much value in helping you get your money or merchandise. The state's AG on the other hand, can weld a much bigger stick...

Personally, I wouldn't waste my time with the BBB given the reputation that Mr. James' business has built.

good luck!

Sorry to hear about this, I have done my best to warn folks here on Badweb about that guy & his lies. I think its humorous the way he pretends to be 3-4-5 different people. Hell of a scam he has going, but I think its catching up with him & thats why he has "vanished".

Unfortunately I doubt you will ever get your money back..hope you do..but first you gotta find the little prick.

Morts, I'm really sorry you hadn't seen all of our cautionary posts on this person. We did try our best to inform everyone. I hope you don't hold it against all of us Yanks.

Mort, if you used a Credit card then you are protected under the UK consumer credit act. The act makes the credit card company equally liable with the vendor for the supply of goods. Note, this DOES NOT apply to charge cards, only CREDIT cards. Inform the issuer of your card immediately.

When you get your money back there are excellent vendors represented here and also (nearer to home) at www.ukbeg.com . Good luck.

Kind of interesting to jump up one level of his web site: http://inextinc.com/

Perhaps a quick contact to them would bring a short resolution to his backpaging their web site.

Or not.

They do have a direct link to http://www.marinescoutsniper.com/
(Not usually the sort of folks who like anyone disparaging their name or homesite. Every dog gets fleas, some are just more proactive at eradication.)

What you do with this information, which was easily found, is your own personal decision.

Does anybody know if CJ is connected with this new Techlusion EFI controller that is supposedly coming out in a couple of weeks. I hope not, but I found a website that clearly is connected to him and it has a part number for the new EFI. Now I wonder if it even exists?

Notifying ebay might be a good start!
